Registration and tuition fees for 2013
Total cost of the course:
The total cost of Equilibria’s Finishing Course (one year full time study) amounts to R25 500 for the year.
This amount is divided as follows:
- A non-refundable registration fee of R6500: in order to ensure the student’s place in the school the registration fee is payable one month after a student has been accepted in the school. Registration closes 31 November.
- Tuition fees of R19 000 which is payable in equal instalments of R1900 per month over 10 months from February to November.
What is included in the fees?
The fees of the course are all-inclusive and cover the following:
- Tuition: top quality tuition in a wide spectrum of areas by leading experts in each field.
- Camps: all meals, accommodation, recreation and travelling expenses of the camps.
- Theoretical course materials: all the theoretical course materials such as study guides, books, CD's and handouts.
- Practical course materials: most practical course materials such as most of the foods, wine, first aid, herbs, safety and self-defence equipment.
- One-on-one wellness counselling: students’ well-being is monitored throughout the year and one-on-one problem-solving or counselling sessions are facilitated when needed.
- Individual health and fitness evaluations: students’ fitness levels are monitored and frequent fitness evaluations and motivational sessions are scheduled throughout the year.
- Psychometric tests: students complete a wide range of scientifically endorsed psychometric tests to determine their individual levels of career maturity, aptitudes, personalities, values and interests. The tests are evaluated by a qualified psychometric practitioner.
- Career Mentor Programme: students have unlimited and free access to one of the most comprehensive databases of careers, bursaries and study information in South Africa. The Career Mentor is a computer based career guidance and information system, purchased by Equilibria and updated each year.
- Individual career counselling: students receive individual career counselling during the career guidance program and, if necessary, thereafter as well.
What are not included in the fees?
- Boarding: The course fees do not include board and lodging or related fees for the year. For more info, click on Accommodation .
- Meals: Equilibria offers healthy, nutritious lunches on a pre-paid system at the school. Students lunch on the school premises after classes (12h30). Cutlery and plates are provided. For more info, click on Meals.
- Gym membership: Equilibria students are enrolled in a Health and Fitness Programme that requires them to exercise at least three times per week. If a student chooses to exercise in a gym, monthly gym fees need to be budgeted for. However, it is not compulsory to exercise in a gym. Students can opt for other forms of exercise such as jogging, cycling, swimming or playing various games.
- European tour: The optional tour to Europe and other optional activities arranged during the year are not included in the course fees. For more info, click on European tour.
- Farewell party: Equilibria’s farewell party takes place in an impressive venue and takes the form of a sit down dinner, dance and certification ceremony. The school partially subsidises the event but students will be required to contribute R100 towards the event.
Discount for full payment of tuition fees before or on 30 January
A 7.5 % discount on tuition fees (R1 425.00) is given if paid in full on or before 30 January.
Earning money: Equilibria students are encouraged to find part-time work such as sports training, au pair work or waitressing for some afternoons or evenings. In this way, students could earn extra money to spend, to save or to use for the tour to Europe. Equilibria runs an Au pair Agency at the school that helps students to find au pair work.
