Application
Application procedure:
Applicants need to fill in an application form to apply for enrolment at the school. Candidates are required to be in possession of a grade 12 certificate and are subject to a selection process. The selection criteria are provided below. Amongst other information, the application form requires prospective students to attach the following documents:
- A statement that contains the applicant’s latest school grades
- A copy of the applicant’s identity document
- All certificates and awards received previously by the applicant
- A testimonial is optional but is recommended if the applicant’s academic average is below the required selection criteria of 60%
Selection criteria:
Selection is based on the information gained from the completed application form, school grades and a personality profile obtained from the questionnaire in the application form. To be selected for the course, your application needs to indicate that:
- you have an ambition to succeed in life
- you are truly motivated to do the course
- you have a grade 12 certificate (or are completing grade 12)
- your academic record and achievements indicate an ability to persevere (approximately 60% average)
- your intellectual abilities are developed sufficiently to pass the course (the difficulty level of the course is on par with a first year tertiary education)

Closing date for application:
The closing date for application is 31 October each year. To avoid disappointment, prospective students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure enrolment in the school. The application period opens 1 March each year.
Registration:
If your application is successful, we will send you a Registration Form to complete as well as a Student Agreement, an Indemnity Form and a Surety Agreement. The completed Registration Form and other documents need to be returned to the school with the registration fee (see Costs for details). To ensure the student’s place in the school the registration fee is payable one month after a student has been accepted in the school. The closing date for registration is 30 November each year.
